What you can safely download

Two links, and then stop

Nicky Case did not publish a Windows installer, a Mac disk image, or an Android package. The game is a folder of HTML, pictures, and sounds. You can play that folder on this site without saving anything.

If you want the files, clone or download github.com/ncase/wbwwb. The revision this site serves is ddf8e0d, because the default branch's front page is a Persian localization that does not assign the English lines. That choice is explained on source code.

The other legitimate install

Steam app 1103210 is free and names Mismatch Studio. Installing it from the Steam client is a real install. It is still a port. Read the Steam page before you treat it as the 2016 itch release.

Phone apps in the stores are a third category, with their own developers and with ads. They are listed on mobile, and I do not call them downloads of this game.

What I will not link

Pages that offer a modified APK, a 'steam rip', or a zip from a file host do not get a link here. I cannot tell you their contents. The itch page remains the author's listing if you would rather press a button there than here.

The map of every host, including portals that are not downloads, is where to play.
