One park, getting worse
It starts with ordinary circle and square people bouncing under a tree. A circle in a hat walks in. Your photo of the hat becomes a headline, and then everyone wants a hat. A couple nuzzles. A photo of them becomes 'GROSS, GO GET A ROOM', and they slink off. A square starts screaming. Fear, snobbery, and shouting follow, each one made louder by the next headline.
When the shouting fills the park, a circle in a hat with a weapon appears. The television has been asking for a conflict. The story does not offer you a way to put the weapon away. That is the ratchet the endings page describes.
How to read the table
The table under the title is the full order: what happens, and which photo moves you on. Photographing the wrong thing prints a hint and leaves you in the same beat. The practical version is how to play. The people in each beat are on characters.
Credits are a scene, not a menu you can skip to. After them comes the candle night and a share-and-replay screen. Selecting replay returns to the opening quote card, which marks its McLuhan line as misattributed. The quote's history is not the plot. It lives on the quote page. What the spiral is arguing is on the meaning page.
FAQ
How long is the story?
About five minutes if you photograph the actions as they happen. A speedrun record on speedrun.com is 2:44.133 for Finish the Game.
Are the twelve stages twelve endings?
No. They are beats in one sitting. Videos that say 'all endings' are often counting these beats.
What is the plot in one sentence?
A camera turns a mild park into a violent one because the crowd copies whatever the television rewards.
