Nicky Case

Opening view of the park from Nicky Case's public post-mortem still.

The person credited on the game

The itch page names Nicky Case as the maker and says the game took about two months. The same page puts the code under the Unlicense and the art under CC0, and the author describes that as public domain, zero rights reserved.

Wikipedia's article on Nicky Case gives 11 September 1994, Canada, and describes Case as a transgender woman who uses she/her or gender-neutral pronouns. I am repeating that article, not adding a private fact. The game has no separate Wikipedia article. It appears in the 2016 section of the list of art video games as a free five-minute piece.

Where this game sits

Before this park, Case had already put personal and political ideas into short browser games. Coming Out Simulator 2014 is on itch and is also public domain. Parable of the Polygons, with Vi Hart, is a free browser piece about bias and segregation. The Evolution of Trust is a free browser piece about cooperation.

On Newgrounds, Case called We Become What We Behold a spiritual sequel to an older series, and said a direct sequel to that series was not coming. That thread is on the sequel page. The camera game itself is explained on what the game means.

Pages that are actually Case's

I link ncase.me, the itch listing, and the post-mortem from 12 November 2016. Patreon is linked from inside the game's end screen. I do not list social accounts I have not confirmed on those pages.

Play the game on this site or from the platform table. The wiki index of community pages is at wiki.
