Is there a part 2?

Opening view of the park from Nicky Case's public post-mortem still.

No official part 2 found as of 7 November 2026

Nicky Case has not released We Become What We Behold 2. The itch listing is still the 2016 game. I found no store page, no trailer, and no author post that names a follow-up.

On the Newgrounds upload, the author wrote that this piece is a short spiritual sequel to an earlier series called :the game:, and that a direct sequel to that series was not the plan. That is one author's note. I link it rather than retelling a career I did not research past the public pages. More of the career is on Nicky Case.

What the number usually means

A YouTube title with a 2 is still a playthrough or a compilation of this game. A portal that groups many games will sometimes file this one under a numbered hub. The Steam release is a port of this game, dated on the store as 9 July 2019, not a sequel. See Steam.

Say Cheese is the work people confuse with a sequel because it has many endings and square-and-circle people. Its Roblox page credits Nicky Case and names a different developer.

If you want to play the 2016 game, use play or the platform list.

FAQ

Did Nicky Case announce a sequel?

No. On Newgrounds the author wrote that this short game is a spiritual sequel to an earlier series, and that a direct sequel to that series was not coming.

Why do videos say 2?

Uploads and portal collections reuse the title with a number. The search page for the number still returns this game, not a second release.

Is Say Cheese the sequel?

No. Say Cheese is a Roblox game by Mechanical Boy LLC that says it is based on this one. It has its own endings. It is not a Nicky Case release.
